I ordered the 9.99 Bender ball which after shipping abd handling was more than double, 22.90. I was pleased with the product however 6 weeks later had a new charge on my bank card for 39.97 membership fee. What membership?? I never agreed to this! I called my bank and the charge is being reversed and i calked bender ball customer service and the rep was very rude. Told me that in order to order the ball you automatically are inrolled in thus membership, so please check yohf bank statement if you have recently purchased the bender ball.

Bender Ball is the least problem of Leslie Bender's problems

I think the bender ball is the least problem Leslie Bender has. I attended her clinic and it is very military style and she has no filter on her mouth.

She spend 8 hours of her clinic criticizing numerous instructors such as Les Mills, Jillian Michael's, and Tracy Anderson and many more instructors. She degraded pilates even though she is pilates certified and told us to try yoga instead. She told us that we should never work with a pregnant person under any circumstances even though I have worked with three different ones, all which had great out comes. There is tons of evidence suggesting that squeezing your butt muscles protects your lower back and she doesn't believe in this concept.

She tells her clients that we dont have lower ad muscles instead of saying there is a lower portion of rectus and transverse abdominal muscles.

This is the worst clinic I ever took. Save your money

The order-line is a nightmare. They get your credit card number for the $9.99 TV offer. Then the automatic voice drones on and on making more offers until you are distracted. I placed my order on the weekend and could not get a live rep to see what would be charged to my credit card. On Monday, I logged on to their website and found the Customer Service number. I called and sure enough in addition to $20.91 for the $9.99 advertised offer, they has signed me up for monthly charges for a "membership." Be very aware!!!!

Bender ball phone scam

The bender ball may, work as good as any store kids ball, but it is not worth the phone call. Once you get on the phone, they tell you 9.99 then you give your credit card and then the scam offers start. You can't get off the phone for half an hour, they try to enroll you in everything under the sun, for monthly credit protection, free gas cards, free shopping club, free walmart card, and the list goes on. You never get a total of what they are charging to your card. I declined everything, the DVD's are extra by the way. I read on line complaints that you have to cancel also with a phone call you can't through on, to stop monthly dvd's charges on your card. Stay away from this item, I wish I had!

Bender Ball

I was going to purchase the Bender Ball through the commercial, but I figured there was a catch to the low price. I have had experiences with other companies signing you up for more than you bargained for without your knowledge. I looked on the website, read the fine print, and figured out that I would be sent other DVDs and charged more in the long run, which I wasn't interested in. I ended up purchasing the Bender Ball at Wal-Mart. I paid a little more than the infomercial price, but you don't have to worry about being charged later like you will be when you purchase it through the infomercial. In the end, you come out ahead.

Purchased the Bender Ball at ***'s Sporting Goods Store. Tried it at home & will be returning it!

It's really NOT worth what I paid for, $19.99 not including sales tax. The instructional video has level 1, level 2 & level 3, but it's just variations of other abdominal exercises people are aware of, though.

BenderBall Hidden Charges and bad Costumer Service

I order 2 benderball as requested by my friend as a gift. Then after a month I got charges $30.88 twice. I called Costumer Service and to verify what is that for, they said it's a membership fee and continuity of the program and additional DVD per month. I said that the item I order is not even for me and you are charging me for membership for 2 people. I never even received the item yet. They told me they will cancel the membership and will refund the charges once they received the item back. After 2 moths, I got another charges, $19.99 twice again for not receiving the item back. It really *** me off. I told them, they are the one who have the tracking number why don't you check it out. She told me that it will take 2 to 8 weeks before I got the refund, since they need to verify everything, then she told me MOTHER F**KER away from the receiver that I heard in a diffrent language that so happen I can speak. I bounce back the word and she was so surprise and apologies to me repeatedly. I asked her name and employee number, she just game me her name but not the employee number, then she told me that I will received the refund in 2-5 business day, which never happen. I am hoping they will not charged me again next month and so as my refund. PLEASE!!!PLEASE!!!PLEASE!!! DO NOT BUY BENDERBALL ITS RIP OFF AND COSTUMER SERVICE IS VERY BAD!!!!!!

A total rip off scam

Once you buy the bender ball, they automatically ship you more stuff and it's very difficult to cancel, return and get your money back. So they sign you up automatically for stuff you don't want and take the payment every month out of your account. If you have to call customer service good luck, you will get no help. I am still waiting for a credit to my account. I wish I had researched further what I was purchasing - I would never have bought this thing - it's just a scam to take money from people - it's too hard to fight and try to get your money back so people probably just pay for the stuff they don't want. Thanks.

Bender ball is a total scam

When you order the product they automatically enroll you into a DVD program and charge your credit charge. You call customer service and they don't speak English very well and lie to you that you clicked a button approving the membership which is false. You get a credit but they hold the shipping fee and on top of that they ask you to send the product back insured on your dime. This is a total scam!! This is a poor marketing scam and I will think twice before I order anything from an informercial which is a shame b/c I'm sure there are good products out there.

Bender ball

The computer order line sucks!!!!!! The computer order line does not allow the consumer to question the products, quality, price, ongoing shipments, etc. There is no way to get out of computer recording circle. The company sends unordered, uwanted DVDs and charges consumer's credit card without authorization. The consumer is unable to reach anyone to ensure that future shipments cancelled. The Ball is very low qualilty, thin plastice that won't holw air. For the price, the ball should be higher quality. The whole thing seems to be a scam. $9.95 ball ended up costing $30, how did that happen?

I ordered an exercise DVD once & luckily I didn't get scammed. But, I've heard other people getting scammed, though & I figure, I'd rather wait until it's in local sporting goods store, so I won't get scammed & be able to return it to get a full refund of purchase.

You might have to wait 6 months to a year, but at least you won't get scammed in the process!

BENDER BALL: TOTAL SCAM!

I ordered the Bender Ball and subsequently got charged and sent another package I never requested. I've called 3x now and although they assure me that I won't be charged again, I still haven't received my refund. They took the first amount $26.98 out of my acct and I never even received the DVD's from them until almost 3 weeks later. I returned them, and then got charged again a month later for $19.99. I called to complain and got the "my supervisor is in a closed door meeting" again. They have the nerve to tell me it will take up to 8 weeks to get my money back. Complete scam! I'm reporting them to the BBB and I'm working with my bank to get my money back.

You can buy the Bender Ball at some retail stores. Like my Target has it.

I normally find it irritating for people to complain about scams for most of the time it is the consumers' fault, but in the case of the Bender Ball, they are more crafty.

It's NOT like a book/DVD/movie club, the purpose of those is a membership. Nothing with the Bender Ball implies membership.

It's just ridiculous what some companies will do. It's one BIG reason I NEVER buy anything from the TV and read through ALL the fine print before I do anything.

While consumers do need to be more prudent regarding what they are actually purchasing, the business practices adopted by the Bender Corporation are downright deceptive, if not bordering upon criminal. I believe that I am right in saying that most consumers that puchase the Bender Ball do not wish to be stuck in a tying arrangement. Now there is nothing wrong with offering additional goods and services, such as the DVD membership, but this should not be forced upon the consumer.

I was "fortunate" to have ordered the Bender Ball for my daughter over the phone, where I was able to decline the DVD membership after the automated system tried to hard sell me the membership three times. In fact, the automated system tried to hard sell me 7, yes 7, different items, 5 of which had no appearant relationship with the Bender Ball (ex. movie memberhip, eye insurance, vacation membership). I finally had enough and hung up without receiving an order confirmation. I was not about to give my email address to be spammed. The Bender Ball did arrive, so no complaint there. But the story does not end there.

Shortly after the Bender Ball arrived, I started getting calls on my cell phone from phone numbers I did not recognize. I never answered the phone and the callers never left any messages. I did look the phone numbers up online and found through various complaint forums that they were from suspicious companies trying to sell car warranties. According to the complaint boards, these "companies" seem to not have a physical location or even an actual identity. They appear to be ripoff artists that have been able to get around the Do Not Call registry by remaining unidentified. One complaintant was able to link the phone calls to the purchase of the Bender Ball and warned about fraudulent charges on credit cards. There appears to be a relationship between the Bender Corporation and these suspicious companies. I am not implying that they are one in the same, but at the very least, the Bender Corporation is supplying these companies with your phone number. Also, I received a fraudulent charge on my credit card for $3.00 under the description "Fees." I promptly called my credit card company and was able to get the fee credited from my account. If you ordered a Bender Ball, I urge you to carefully examine your credit card statement each month.

If you do not want to be harrassed by unidentified telemarketers that may be *** artists, I recommend not purchasing a Bender Ball. I wish we could get enough Bender Corporation victims together to bring about a class action lawsuit and take the company down.

It does say it - but it is written very small on the order confirm page. I would have never ordered it if I had seen that.

Guest

Can People not read. It clearly states additional DVD's will be sent but you can call and cancel at anytime.

Just like a book or movie Dvd club. DONT blame the Bender Ball for the consumers ignorance.

The Bender Ball works......But

The ball itself works. It gives you an excellent abdominal workout. The first time I used it I thought "I don't feel a thing" but then the next day I could barely sit up. Take it easy at first. The ball is pretty poor quality...it needs to be constantly blown up (gets pretty irritating). Now for the "but"... the company has been running a scam where the customer is signed up for a continuity plan without their knowledge, luckily I found out before I ordered. Check it out and be informed...http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/881313/are_you_the_next_victim_of_the_bender.html?cat=50

I would contact my bank and let them know that they continue to make unauthorized charges to your account. The bank should be able to stop them, if not, I would consider closing that account and opening a new one. Hope this helps!

Benderball is so cheap, and got what you expexted, but the continuity program they is SUCKS!! I order hte benderball as requested by my friend for his B-day.

I purchased 2, then after a month I got charged $30.88 twice. I called CS and told me that was for the memebership and the DVD you will recieved every month. I said it is not authorized by me and I want cancel the membership and I never even received the item that's why I called them to verify what the charges for. She told me return the Item once I received it, and they will refund my charges once they received the item.

Then another month passed I got charges again $19.99 twice for they never received the item, meaning I have it and using it. I told them you are the one who have the tracking number why don't you track where the package are. And she told me it will take 2wks. to 2 mos.

to refund the charges, because she needs to verify everything, and I insist about the time since it's been 2 months since I returned the item and still charging per month even the account is closed. Then she told me mother f**ker away from the receiver in a different language that I understand and speak. I bounce back the language and she got scared. She said she will refund the charges in 2-5 business day, which I never received untill now.

Please advise me what to do if they will charged me again next month.

That's more than a $100 compare to the $12.98 DVD!!! plus $9.99 shipping and handling for 1 item!!!!!!!

Also got scammed by Bender Ball

I ordered the bender ball two months ago and received it. A month later I was charged for another bender ball product I was unaware they were going to be sending me and at that time was charged a $30 overdraft fee from my bank because they just took the money out of my account. I emailed the company and they assured me they were not going to be sending me anything more and I would be reimbursed as soon as I mailed the product back to them, so I mailed it out on 7/3/08. Today I looked at my bank account and again the same thing. I was charged $19.99 and was charged two more overdraft fees which I wouldn't have been charged if this company hadn't done this to me. I called customer service and again assured me they wouldn't charge me any more and I shouldn't have been charged again. When I asked to speak to the representative's supervisor he told me he was unavailable. I am extremely upset over this situation and have never dealt with such an unprofessional company. Is there anything else I can do about this??

I've been in a similar situation. My bank was great about handling things for me.

They put a stop to the company from making any further charges until the investigation was completed. My bank also withdrew the over draft fee by temporarily refunding it and the charge from the company to my account until things were resolved.

It all worked out within the 30 days allowed as they promised. :grin

Got scammed from infomercial company

I ordered a bender ball after seeing the infomercial. After the thirty day 'trial period' they sent me two dvd's, with out any sort of invoice, with a flier stating that if you want a refund to call. I called and was told that I was charged 1/2 of the full amount which came to $27.98 (this month). I told the man that I did not sign up for these extra dvd's. He stated that when I went online to order that I would have seen that customers are 'automatically signed up'. I told him that I didn't order this online, that I called in and he said that I should have gone online to research the company and that I am the ONLY person in the world who doesn't do that. He proceeded to argue with me for thirty minutes about this as well as tell me that all of the supervisors had left. After waiting an additional fifteen minutes, I finally spoke to a supervisor who really didn't care and told me that it stated on my orignal invoice about this as well as online. I does not say that anywhere on my original invoice OR online. What I DID find online was that after the thirty day 'customer satisfation' period, you cannot send the bender balls back.
